Fian’s first portrait session by the Connecticut River was filled with moments where love settles into the smallest details. Dressed in the coziest little outfit, complete with a knit hat that made him look impossibly sweet, he drifted off to sleep while we captured his tiny fingers, the peaceful rise and fall of his chest, the way he seemed so at home in the outdoors.

I had the joy of photographing Cuda & Tara’s wedding a while back, and this spring we met up at one of my all-time favorite places in the Pioneer Valley: Park Hill Orchard in Easthampton. The light was soft, the grass was warm, and Griffin Fox was an absolute peach — which felt appropriate given the setting. I’m not saying this kid could star in an organic fruit ad, but I am saying the strawberry jammies nearly sent me into early retirement from the cuteness.
