When Kelsey & Andrew asked if I'd drive out to their woodland home in Great Barrington for some maternity photos with their dog and 6 chickens, I thought “is that even a question?” I love the way chickens have that mix of craggy, prehistoric strangeness and feathery grace, and a home with a chicken coup just feels so settled and self-sufficient. Had a lot of fun cycling through casual looks and more “woodland earth mother” vibes for this lovely shoot.
Engagement Session in the Lush Green of Summer
I have lived in Western MA for 14 years now, and I still have to just stop and stare when I visit certain parts of the Quabbin Reservoir in Ware. I’m always so excited when my couples are willing to meet me out there, sort of in the middle of nowhere, to soak in the views and make some pretty memories. When I look back on these portraits of Alex and John, I truly feel like they had a good time and that makes me pretty happy.
