The Montague Retreat Center is a former farm turned spiritual haven rooted in decades of contemplative practice and community living. Carly and Akiva gathered their people here this summer to honor both Jewish ritual and Buddhist intention. They signed the ketubah, shared the tenderness of the bedeken, and sealed it all with a ceremony beneath a flower-laden chuppah overlooking the hills. By night, they were lifted high in their chairs during the hora while guests cried, cheered, limboed, and even let a puppet crash the party, because enlightenment, it turns out, pairs beautifully with a very good party.
